City Clerk's Office

The Department of City Clerk and Finance is responsible for all accounting, purchasing, information systems, debt management, investments, accounts payable, and payroll functions of the city. Additional responsibilities of this department includes minutes preparation of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen meetings, maintenance of the official city records and documents, city elections, and the issuance of city privilege licenses. This department works closely with the public, other department heads and employees of the city, and the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
