Fire Fighters During Training
The  Training  and Safety  Division is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all training activities for the department. Under the supervision  of  Senior Captain and  Training Officer  Kenna  Pierce, they prepare  recruits for a career in the fire service and manage ongoing training for field  personnel. In addition to training Fire Department personnel,  the training division also continue to provide CPR / AED training to  all employees.

Emergency Medical Services
Since approximately 70% of all calls are Emergency Medical Service (EMS) calls, every firefighter in the department is required to be a Basic Level Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The Canton Fire Department is proud to perform their duties of prevention and protection from fire and rescue with highly trained staff.
